Islam in Indonesia has two large organizations, namely Muhammadiyah and Nahdlatul Ulama. But the phenomenon in Indonesia compiles two organizations, with each other considering that they are the best. However, for people who want to learn, it must be addressed with the help of researchers, because Islam must be studied in full

According to Prof. Nelly van Dorn Harder from Wake Forest University the United States, who claimed to have come to Indonesia several times to research Islam. He revealed that a researcher or educated person must have a broad view rather than being limited by just one science. He conveyed this in the international seminar at the Muhammadiyah University of Yogyakarta Postgraduate program with the theme “Social Science, Religion, and Humanities” in the 4th Floor Amphitheater Room of the Postgraduate School JK School of Government UMY Integrated Campus, Friday (5/7).

Discussions about religion, especially Islam, were getting warmer when Assoc Prof. Bilveer Singh, Ph.D. the National University of Singapore lecturer explained his views on Religion and Radicalism. He calls radicalism because there is a group of people who are hungry for power.

For whatever reason, radicalism is not allowed anywhere. So far, radicalism has always been aimed at a particular religion, even though it is not. I have researched by interacting directly with several terrorism inmates to collect data; for me, Pancasila is a dominant and right ideology in Indonesia. That is what must continue to be studied so that the value of radicalism or the like can be lost, “he explained.
Then Bilveer gave an interesting analogy at the close of his presentation. “For example, like this, when you have an immune system or healthy antibodies, of course, the disease will be challenging to come to our body. So, imagine the radicalism of a disease, drug or antibody to attack it is a strong religion and ideology like in Indonesia (Pancasila), “he concluded.
