Comparative Study on Disaster Management Between Korea and Indonesia

Jusuf Kalla School of Government UMY with Yonsen University sign a MoU about Disaster Management Between Korea and Indonesia. Dr. Achmad Nurmandi as an opening speakers for this agenda said that as we know Indonesia have many disaster in all aspect. Hopefully it can help us to get many knowledge from Korea to cope the Disaster Management in Indonesia. This agenda also provide for all student to get a many knowledger from public lecture that delivered by Prof.Doong Keun Yoon from Yonsen University and Dr.Jazaul Ikhsan from MDMC.
Prof Dong Keun Yoon as the first speaker, he delivered about Disaster Management and Disaster Prevention Technologies in Korea. In korea have a three main poin disaster is Typhoon, Flood and snow. He will also explaind the categoriestic disaster in korea. He showing type of flood and Typhoon in korea on 1997-2015 about the position disaster in all city in Korea . On 2016 around october, Typhon come to southern and eastern part of Korea. The government in Korea also have an organization of Ministry of Public Safety and Security to safe the country from the disaster that we dont know when is it come. The structurization of the organization start from central government and give a opposition to local government for keep it in a good situation when disaster is come. The 2nd speakers come from MDMC (Muhammadiyah Disaster Management Center) delivered about Disaster Management in Indonesia & The Role of Ews For DRR as a lecture from civil engginering. Some people said that indonesia is laboratorium of disaster. He also explained that Indonesia always increase the disaster in each years. The scope unique of Indonesia have a main poin of disaster is Natural Disasters, Un-Natural Disasters and Social Disasters. Indonesia on 1973-2010 have a many disaster in all part city of Indonesia but diference with Kalimantan. The position of Kalimantan have a minimum disaster in there and it difference with Java Island a lot of disaster. The Disaster Management System of Muhammadiyah is an overall regulating system and for national disaster system have a many component, which is legislation, institutional, planning, funding, capacity building and also implementation.
