Perspective of democracy in muslim state by Dr. Nadzir Hussai

Talking about democracy system in muslim state, October 1,2019 on Sunday at Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta was events of International Seminar with theme ” Democratization in a Muslim State: A comparative study  between Indonesia and Pakistan”.

 
International seminar was collaboration between Jusuf Kalla School of government, Magister of Government sciences, International of Government and Administration Affairs has purpose to sharing each other and perspective from expert people.
Drawback, Indonesia is a country that majority of population has muslim religion and democracy as foundation of government system. As the biggest of religion followed by population makes a religion has important role in election or interest group. On international seminar, Dr (c) Tunjung Sulaksono as researcher at Jusuf Kalla School of Government invite Dr. Nidzir Hussain as Speaker to gives assumption about what is different between Indonesia and Pakistan. In general, Indonesia and Pakistan is country that was majority muslim religion.
Dr. Nidzir Hussain argue ” A muslim state, Indonesia and Pakistan to be selective and aware toward who people makes a religion as foundation to influencing of government system. Democracy system shaped by engagement people, The society has right to determine and directly of democracy in a state”.
On other hand, noted, Indonesia is a country has 5 type of religion, due to that country with majority of muslim religion could not gives statement a muslim state. It’s context brings people to be respect each others. Dr. (c) Tunjung Sulaksono make conclusion about seminar, society has human right to determine who a candidate and leader in country, democracy system encourage society free to choose who leader.
