Public Lecture: Best Practice of Berau Regency in Achieving Progress Area

The Public Lecture of Government Affairs and Administration Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) this time presents the Regent of Berau Regency of East Kalimantan Province H. Muharram, S.Pd., MM. with the theme “Public Lecture: Best Pactice of Berau Regency in Achieving Progress Area” located at UMY Campus Graduate 4th Floor Building, Friday (20/10). In addition also attended the Rector of the Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P., Head of International Cooperation and Affairs Bureau of UMY, Head of Master Program of Governmental Science UMY, lecturer of Governmental Studies Program UMY and hundreds of undergraduate and post graduate students of Governmental Science UMY. The event was officially opened by the Rector of UMY.

The event started with the signing of MoU between Bupati of Berau Regency of East Kalimantan and Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. On this occasion Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P. as the Rector and H. Muharram directly signed the MoU of the cooperation. In the opening, the Rector gave a speech by saying that this meeting brought together interesting things. The regent profile is not only a political position, but now the regent must be a fighter. Maintaining abundant resources in their areas, harmonizing good policies to the community, as they may prey on their own communities. Berau district is one of the areas on the island of Borneo which is quite a potential natural resources and often a seizure of foreign nations.
