Currently the Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University Postgraduate Program is intensively controlling and evaluating the academic development of students who are pursuing doctoral or master programs. That was also carried out by the Islamic Political Doctoral Program (S3 PI UMY), last Thursday (9/1/2020).
Director of Jusuf Kalla School of Government (JKSG), Prof. Dr. Achmad Nurmandi, M.Sc It appeared that the meeting was also attended by Andi Luhur Prianto, S. IP., M. Si.
Andi Luhur is one of the doctoral candidates who received a scholarship from JKSG since 2019, the Vice Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences at the Muhammadiyah University of Makassar in addition to actively participating in a number of National Seminars and Interactive Dialogues in Makassar, South Sulawesi, he is also very progressing in his obligations academically as a doctoral candidate at S3 PI UMY
Besides Andi Luhur, there are 4 other doctoral candidates who also received scholarships from JKSG while in the process of completing their studies, they were Dian Suluh Kusuma Dewi, S. Sos.I., M. AP from Muhammadiyah University in Ponorogo, Rossi Maunofa Widayat, S. IP. , M. Si from Muhammadiyah University of Mataram, Ajree D. Malawani, M. PA from the Philippines and Salahuddin, S. IP., M. Si., M. PA from Muhammadiyah University of Malang. Not only that, JKSG also provided outstanding scholarships to 2 graduates of Government Science to continue their education at the UMY Masters of Government Sciences, they were Riska Rahayu, S. IP and Abitassha Az Zahra, S. IP
Head of the UMY S3 PI Study Program, Dr. Zuly Qodir, M.Ag emphasized that students must study and try hard to complete their studies. He suggested that students who had finished theory, to compile a literature review and research proposal. Meanwhile, for those who prepare the dissertation so that intensive and regular guidance to the promoter so that the dissertation seminar results immediately. The dissertation research publication must be considered for students, considering the dissertation research output is published in reputable international journals and national accreditation and presented in international and national forums.
It is important to know that students who prepare dissertations must publish their articles in internationally accredited and nationally accredited journals. In addition, it was presented at international and national scientific forums, as part of the requirements for taking open and graduation examinations. (Si)
