Jusuf Kalla School of Government (JKSG) partner with International Program of Governmental Studies (IGOV) and Magister ilmu pemerintahan (MIP) has been successful and managed to organize a seminar and public lectures for three days that is 31 May 2016 until 2 June 2016. The seminar took place in Graduate school building 1st floor Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. The seminar was attended by students of Khon Kaen University (KKU), Magister Ilmu Pemerintahan (MIP) and International Program of Governmental Studies (IGOV). The theme of  the seminar series and public lectures are “The Contemporary Issues in Social and Politics”.
Tuesday,  May 31, 2016. We have three speakers. The first speaker is Prof. Nelly Van Doorn-Harder from the University Amsterdam. She discussed about Minority Politics the Cops and Egypt. The second speaker is Vichet Ludnpa, Ph.D from Khon Kaen University (KKU), he discussed about the Concept of Progress in Administration in Thailand. Then, the third speaker is Wilasinee Choothong Ph.D, she discussed about Education Policy Reform in Thailand.
Wednesday, June 1, 2016. We had two speakers in this seminar. The first speaker is Dr. Mega Hidayati from Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) and the second speaker is Pawida Rungsee Ph.D from Khon Kaen University (KKU). Thursday,  June 2, 2016, is the last day of the seminar series  and public lectures, the speaker for the day are Eko Priyo Purnomo Ph.D from Uiversitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) and Sirikanya Khainongsuang Ph.D from Khon Kaen University (KKU). Eko Priyo Purnomo Ph.D is the director of International Program of Governmental Studies (IGOV). In this seminar, he discussed about the research with title “Forest Fire and Palm Oil Plantation in Riau”, the research aim to identify the actors who burn the forest and the cross collaboration sector among stakeholders to prevent and take in hand the problem of forest fires in Riau Province. In the end of the seminar series and public lectures, we are as committees gave a souvenir for  all of the speakers and took a picture together. (Laeli Nur Khaifah)
