Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta Held : 3rd International Conference on Sustainable Innovation (ICoSI)

Yogyakarta – Tuesday 30/7/19 Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University (UMY) held an International Conference on Sustainable Innovation (ICoSI) to respond to the disruption phenomenon that occurred. This event is the 3rd time and will be held from 30 to 31 July 2019 at the UMY Sportorium Campus.

UMY Rector Dr Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto, M.P stressed that innovation must consider sustainability aspects. In principle, all forms of development will disrupt the natural balance. Therefore, invitations must be applied and useful to improve efficiency and productivity without or with the least possible impact on aspects of life, “emphasized Gunawan.
With this event, it is hoped that innovation can continue and provide a real effect on the development of technology and human values ​​to be passed on to the next generation.
The 3rd ICoSI to be implemented was attended by 925 participants from 15 countries and discussed three main areas, namely; technology, social humanity and education, and health and nursing. The field was explored in nine focus conferences, namely ISHERSs (International Symposium on Social Sciences, Humanities, Education, and Religious Studies); ICIEFI (International Conference of Islamic Economic and Financial Inclusion); ICISDe (International Conference on Islamic Studies in the Digital Era) ICoSA (International Conference on Sustainable Agriculture); ISCEIE (International Symposium of Civil, Environmental, and Infrastructure Engineering); ICONURS (International Conference on Nursing); ICoELTICs (International Conference of English Language Teaching, Literature & Linguistics); ISETH (International Symposium of Engineering, Technology, and Health Sciences); ASIAN-Col (ASIAN Conference on Comparative Laws).
