Superior Human Resources, Indonesia Going forward is a slogan in celebration of the 74th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia’s Independence on August 17, 2019. This prompted the Jusuf Kalla School of Government (JKSG) University of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta University (UMY) to deliver a number of perspectives on the momentum.
First, Indonesia is currently facing a difficult situation, if it uses a defense and security approach, the state must be present to strengthen the guarantee of state security, legal certainty, and even distribution without reed at all levels, both local, regional and national. This commitment is based on the global onslaught, and internationalization in all aspects of life, so that the government is expected to be able to make policies to counter this phenomenon, including strengthening systems and better governance.
Second, the era of digitalization is the most difficult task for all parties, both government, private sector, academics, researchers and society in general to minimize separatist actions, intolerance and various actions that are able to divide the unity of the nation and state. The phenomenon of Hoax, illegal online business and a number of other telecommunications misuse are things that must be eradicated.
Third, to contribute to the creation of human resources towards advanced Indonesia, it is necessary to strengthen integration, relations and communication networks between higher education institutions. This is absolutely the basis for creating a climate of competitiveness in human resources in a healthy and productive manner so that its capacity is able to respond to the current global transformation in the national and state system that is now all based on ICT.
JKSG considers that from the three perspectives, at least it is oriented to the creation of creativity and innovation in building a more advanced Indonesian environment, developing the principle of being economically independent, politically diverse and dignified through culture. This is a stimulus that is highly expected by all Indonesians
