The 2019 Thai Students Get Together in Yogyakarta

Friday (October 18th 2019) The Thai Embassy to Indonesia attended the ‘2019 Thai Students Gathering in Yogyakarta’ event with Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University. This event gathered to gather Thai students who attended school in Indonesia held at the AR Building. Fachruddin B 5th Floor of UMY Integrated Campus.
This is occasion an event handled by the Thai Embassy as a form of their concern for students studying in Indonesia. Most students who study in Indonesia are citizens of the southern provinces of Thailand and they are gathered at UMY. Thai Embassy hopefully to student get a job position after their studies in Indonesia.

We want to provide opportunities for students who study in Indonesia to get a job when they return to Thailand or get a job in Indonesia. How can they apply for training programs in many companies in Indonesia, or apply for a job after they finish college at a Thai company in Indonesia. In addition, we try to give them the opportunity to get scholarships from the Thai government, “said H.E. Songphol Sukchan, the Thai embassy for Indonesia was met after the event.

Whereas, Dr. Ir. Gunawan Budiyanto M.P rector of Yogyakarta Muhammadiyah University explained how diverse Indonesia is, so hope Thai students explore diversity as knowledge.

“Indonesia has 13,466 islands, 1,340 ethnic groups, and 700 regional languages with the symbol ‘Unity in Diversity’. Thai students can see diversity as a valuable lesson, how difficult it is to manage such a vast territory. They must be able to compromise with it, and be able to learn well here, “said Gunawan

That events not only seminars, but continued with outbound activities. Thus, competitions held in the field of the Integrated Campus Universitas Muamaadiyah Yogyakarta until afternoon.
