H. Ahmad Junaedi Azis, S. IP (AJAS) passed the seat of the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) of Polewali Mandar Regency, West Sulawesi Province, at the event of simultaneous election contest held on April 17, 2019.
Junet or AJAS as he is familiar with, is the Only Begotten Son of the Chairperson of the Muhammadiyah Regional Leader Polewali Mandar H Asis Gozal. The AJAS was confirmed as the youngest legislator in the party of Amin Rais, the Partai Amanat Nasional (PAN) to represent, fight for and oversee the aspirations of the Polewali Mandar community until the next 2024. He won 2,048 votes from 4 electoral districts (electoral districts), namely Wonomulyo, Mapilli, Bulo and Raihan Subdistricts.
Men born on December 18, 1995 were recorded as active in both the academic and organizational fields. One of the organizations that helped raise its name was the Polewali Mandar Yogyakarta Student Association, while its academic experience was obtained from:
1. SDN 007 Sidodadi Wonomulyo 2002 – 2008
2. MTS Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 2008 – 2011
3. MA Mu’allimin Muhammadiyah 2011 – 2014
4. S1 Faculty of Social Sciences, University Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 2014 – 2018
5. Masters in Government Science, University Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta 2018 – present
His initiative plunged into the world of politics, one of which was to apply his insights which had been obtained both from formal and non-formal education. According to him, Youth today is not enough to just think, but ideally it is to think and act and devote themselves to the community in order to realize a more advanced and competitive region, it requires a process and hard work, one of which is formulating policies that favor the people (he stressed).
This is in line with the goal of Jusuf Kalla School of Government (JKSG) which is an affiliate of the Government Science Study Program and the Government of Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta (UMY) Government Science Master Program that provides high quality education and orbits Human Resources (SDM) who want to work as politicians , bureaucrats, researchers, academics, entrepreneurs and so on.
