FGD: Muhammadiyah and Prevention of Radicalism Terrorism in Indonesia

Tuesday, December 5, 2017. MAARIF Institute for Culture and Humanity together with Postgraduate Program of Universities Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta held Focus Group Discussion (FGD) on “Muhammadiyah and Prevention of Radicalism-Terrorism in Indonesia” held at JS Luwansa Hotel Jl. H. R. Rasuna Said Kav.C-22, Rubber Brass, Kec. Setiabudi, South Jakarta. On this occasion, Dr. Dyah Mutiarin and Dr. Zuly Qodir as the chairwoman of department and lecturer of MIP UMY became the main speakers and participants in this FGD. The FGD aims to discuss the research results of the Postgraduate Program of Universities Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta on “Muhammadiyah’s Perceptions on the Issue of Radicalism-Terrorism and its Prevention Efforts”. The FGD is also conducted in an effort to discuss the latest developments in the threat of terrorism in Indonesia and Southeast Asia, as well as the synergistic strategic steps that governments and civil society institutions need to take in preventing and handling terrorism issues.
